Here are some frequently asked questions about what a Mitsubishi factory warranty covers.
What Does My Warranty Cover?
The basic factory warranty for new Mitsubishi vehicles lasts for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Details can vary per model, but this is the general coverage.
What Other Kinds of Warranties Are Available?
Beyond the basic coverage, here are some further warranties offers that you might want to consider:
- One-year/12,000-mile Adjustment Period: If there are any defects or adjustments needed due to the car’s manufacturing, this will be covered in this period.
- Five-year/60,000-mile Restraint System Warranty: Seat belts, clips, car seat mounts, and similar restraint systems are covered.
- 10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty: This important warrant covers repairs and parts for the powertrain, along with assorted components. Subsequent owners could potentially get part of the coverage (up to five years or 60,000 miles).
What Else Will the Warranties Cover?
Beyond the key parts of the warranties listed, additional coverage includes:
- Emission Control System coverage for a period between two years/24,000 miles and eight years/80,000.
- Battery protection for the first 24 months. If the battery fails during the third year of ownership, Mitsubishi will replace for half the price. Labor is also covered at 100% of the price.
- Audio systems, CD changers, DVD players, and navigation systems covered for three years or 36,000 miles.
